Lester Huang, Information Technology – Corporate Technology QA, Millennium Miami

School: Lehigh University

Why did you choose to intern at Millennium?

Millennium is a large, yet horizontally-managed firm that leverages technologies to achieve its financial and business goals, which was very appealing to me.

Who do you meet with and learn from regularly?

Throughout the week, I frequently get lunch with surrounding team members and other interns to learn more about their work and socialize.

Where’s your go-to lunch spot near the office?

There are many great restaurants around the Miami office that offer various cuisines. I haven’t found a favorite place yet, but because of the office’s close proximity to Brickell City Centre, I’ll consider that as my go-to spot.

What has been your favorite part of the Millennium summer internship?

I love interacting with everyone at the Firm! I really enjoy the in-person elements of the internship, whether it be listening to guest speakers, having coffee chats, or hanging out with other interns at social events!

Where’s your go-to lunch spot near the office?

My go-to spot for lunch near the office is DIG! Their mac and cheese is my favorite.

What project(s) have you been working on?

I’ve worked on a lot of project management tasks, and helped compile a comprehensive Excel report containing a summary of key issues, trends, and questions for the technology team.

What has been your favorite part of the Millennium summer internship?

The intern speaker series events have given me lots of insight and advice as I’m early in my career. I’ve loved every opportunity to ask questions and learn from those who hold positions at the Firm.

Where’s your go-to lunch spot near the office?

My go-to spot for lunch is Teranga at the Hugh. They serve great West African food!

What project(s) have you been up to?

I’ve been working on writing articles and copy for the Firm’s internal platforms, as well as for the Firm’s social media platforms!
