Why do you enjoy being a part of the Technology team at Millennium?

I enjoy working with very smart people in a highly professional environment. My teammates are unequivocally committed to doing a top-notch job every day and inspire me to be the best that I can be. I am part of a global and diverse team that works together in an informal and highly cooperative manner to build cutting-edge analytics and software.

How did you become interested in Quantitative Analysis?

I come from a computer science and math background and enjoy solving complex mathematical problems that have both immediate and real-world implications. I derive great satisfaction from implementing my research findings in software and seeing it used and appreciated by Portfolio Managers almost instantly.

What’s your advice to young professionals?

Always have a long-term goal and a plan for how you want to get there. Your long-term goal will keep you open to opportunities and experiences that come your way. It will focus your thinking and inform the short-term decisions you make. You may update your goal or even completely change it, but try to always have a clear vision of where you are heading.

Tell us about working in Millennium’s Tel Aviv office.

As Millennium’s first employee in Israel, I was involved with setting up the office from day one. I take great pride and pleasure in growing and establishing Millennium’s presence here. I am excited to help bring a global financial firm to Israel and strongly believe Millennium stands to gain immensely from adding local technology talent to our teams.

Do you have a favorite thing about living in Tel Aviv?

Having lived in San Francisco and New York, I find Tel Aviv to be similarly cosmopolitan and vibrant. The city is a hub of innovation, creativity and culture. There is always something new and exciting to see, do or eat. And of course, the Mediterranean coast is within walking distance.

How do you spend your weekends?

I enjoy spending time with my family, seeing friends and relaxing with a book or a movie.
