You joined Millennium in 2009. What stands out?

The people. Everyone here is smart, respectful, and interesting. I can’t imagine better colleagues. That combined with the energy of setting and meeting new team goals, which gives us the motivation to push those goals even further. There’s no finish line. Every day is a new goal, a higher bar, and a bigger challenge. But that’s the excitement of it all. It’s easier to work hard when we’re all in it together.

What is the top trait you look for in your hires?

I hire based on your makeup as a human being. It’s all about the texture of the person. I care more about if you’re a good person, than where you went to school.

What’s your advice to young professionals?

Building strong relationships is important, which happens naturally if you’re determined, kind, and human in your own way.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Be comfortable with yourself, and know how to connect with others. A high EQ will help you grow in your career.
